Ulupalakua Vineyards

Where Maui Becomes Wine

Our estate wines begin in the volcanic soil and cool elevation of Ulupalakua, where grapevines thrive in a place few would expect to find them. Among the most distinctive agricultural products produced in Hawaii, these wines are grown, harvested, and crafted entirely on Maui, reflecting the true character of an extraordinary place.

Every vine is farmed with intention, every harvest carefully guided, and every bottle shaped by the unique conditions of our island home. Produced in small quantities and rooted in a deep respect for the land, these wines are authentic expressions of Ulupalakua's climate, landscape, and the hands that guide them.

“Each bottle is a snapshot of a place and time that few wine lovers ever get to discover.”

Small Lots, Full Attention

Our harvests unfold in small, carefully chosen lots, allowing us to remain hands-on throughout every step of the winemaking process. Each tank and barrel is monitored closely, every decision made deliberately, and every wine given the time and space to become its own.

We lean on patience, curiosity, experience, and meticulous attention to detail. Guided by skilled hands and thoughtful decisions, each wine is nurtured toward its fullest potential without losing sight of where it came from. The result is a collection of wines that are unmistakably Maui.

On The Map

In 2018, Ulupalakua became an officially recognized American Viticultural Area (AVA)—a distinction reserved for regions with identifiable geographic and growing characteristics.

For us, it was an acknowledgment of something we've always known: that this remarkable corner of Maui produces wines shaped by a place unlike any other.
